Spina Bifida Resources
My best advice for anyone who has just received a diagnosis is to find another family who has a child with Spina Bifida. (Like us!) We were lucky enough to find a local family with a little boy who had the diagnosis. His mom had fetal surgery at UCSF and by the exact same surgeon who operated on Peri. I couldn't have done this without her guidance and advice and she will be a lifelong friend to us.
Also find out what your community resources might offer. Reach out to your local Spina Bifida chapter association and your Children's Hospital.
